Scorching Hot Weather

Over the weekend, the temperature reached in the high 90's. Daddy suggested going to a water park in the East Bay, so the girls met up with Mason and Uncle Ken. The weather was even warmer over in Pleasanton...104 degrees! Everyone had the same idea of cooling off at the pool, so it was pretty crowded.

K loved it and didn't want to get out of the pool.

Bella tried to stay out of the heat, but she was sweating profusely.

Everyone needed some shade in the bleachers to cool off.

What a little poser! Not sure where K learned to put her hand on her hip when smiling at the camera.

The next day, we celebrated Gung Gung's b-day. His favorite Giants player is Hunter Pence. Daddy ordered him a Hunter bobblehead as a gift.

It was another hot day, Bella runs hot to begin with. She's one sweaty baby!

Uncle Derek brought his dogs over. Taz was so curious of Bella. She was fine being around him until he started licking her. She gave out a huge cry and when Taz started barking, she cried even harder. Wish Mommy caught a picture of her pouty face.

Happy 70th Gung Gung. No one can ever guess he is 70!

6 Months Old

Time sure flies. Mommy can't believe Bella is 6 months old. At this photo shoot, Bella kept pulling the sticker off her dress.

Mr. Bear wore the sticker instead. Some of her 6 month milestones are:
rolls over and scoots from one end to another
sleeps through the night & takes 4-5 hours of naps
likes to cuddle with big sister, Katelyn
loves to laugh especially when someone plays boo with her
recognizes people; lights up when she sees Daddy (definitely a Daddy's girl)
grabs anything in sight and puts it in her mouth
has tried rice cereal & bananas (video and pics to come)

Panther's...here I come!

Friday was K's last day in Raccoons. Now that she turned 3 she will be moving to the Panthers. Her teachers made this special sign for her. K wears bows in her hair every day at school.  In the poster, the teacher's each wore a bow too! K will miss Teacher Darlene, Janice and Naira.

In usual fashion, her new classroom made a welcome sign for her.

K was really excited to be a Panther. She kept asking when she could go to Panthers now that she is 3 years old. She had to wait until a spot opened up. Teacher Kathy was happy to have K join her class.

Teacher Ruksanna is another one of K's new teacher.

Her new classroom will focus on math, writing and reading words.

There is a lot to explore in the new environment. New games, activities and things to play with.

Friday was such a hot day, her teachers hosted a beach party for the parents and kids.

The lobby had a photo area for kids to grab a lei and take a family photo.

A Morning at the Acquarium

Bella took her first trip to the Academy of Sciences.  She will have the chance to go many more times since Mommy just renewed the family membership. Bella was fascinated by the fish as you can tell in this picture.

K always enjoys going to the early explorers cove. Before she went in, she colored some pictures.

At the penguin exhibit, the penguin would follow K when she moved from one end of the tank to the other.

Sunday mornings, K has swimming lessons. Before getting dressed in her swimsuit, the two girls took a picture with their matching PJs.

During swim class, teacher Haley let her students take turns throwing the ball into the hoop.

K made two baskets!

Discovering New Things

Bella has discovered her toes and any chance she gets she puts them in her mouth. Not attractive at all!

Daddy brought home the exer-saucer Po Po and Gong Gong helped us store at their place. Bella liked pulling all the different things.

Daddy bought K a new chair.  She loves to relax in it.

Bella likes to hold her own bottle these days.

Another dinner at Uncle Larry's restaurant. Thanks for always feeding us!

Hair vs. No Hair

K was pretty bald at 4 months and Bella has a full set of hair at 5 months. Can you tell the girls are sisters? Mommy is starting to see a little of the resemblance now.

Where Did the Time Go?

Bella has been practicing rolling over for the last few weeks. Daddy was able to catch this quick video

Twenty minutes later, Mommy caught it on film too. Bella starts off with scooting then comes the roll. Please excuse the background noise- K was playing in her kitchen with her pots and pans.

Bella now has a seat at the dining table with the family. She looks so tiny in her chair. She may be a little too small to sit in it still.

No food for Bella, instead toys to play with.

K was happy her sister could join her for dinner. The novelty wore off after 10 minutes. Bella wanted out.

Bella's hair grows longer which means it sticks up higher.

But on hot days, her hair will stay flat. Bella has Daddy's big eyes.

Mommy can't believe how fast Bella is growing up!! With a blink of an eye, she turned 5 months! Soon before you know it,  she can start solids. Stay tuned for pics of her first bites!

But for now, she's still Mommy's little love bug!

Happy 4th!

K learned about Independence Day at school. She and her classmates made flags and had a parade to show them off.

On July 4th, Uncle Peter and Auntie Ali hosted a bbq. The kids had a blast with the water table and play house in the backyard.

The following day, the girls had a busy day. First it started with meeting baby Khloe. She was only 5 days old in this picture.  Bella looks huge compared to Khloe even though she is only 5 months older!

Afterwards the girls napped in the car and headed to Tao Po's house. Aunt Vandy was visiting from Japan for the summer and met Bella for the first time.

The girls had a play date and dinner with James and Luke. K and Luke decided to form their own band. K played the drums while Luke played the moracas.

The next day Gung Gung and Po Po came to visit. K wanted to be the photographer and take eveyone's picture.

K was so proud of the Hello Kitty sticker earrings that Aunt Suzy got her for her b-day. She felt like such a big girl and was so happy to show them off.

The girls met Aiden in Burlingame for dinner. There was a foosball table at the restaurant. Aiden and K were so intrigued and tried to play.

What an exhausting long weekend, but so much fun!
