9 months

This 9 month photo shoot was rather difficult. Bella would roll over after she was in an sitting position and climb up the couch to stand.

The only way Mommy was able to have Bella to sit still was to give her a snack.

9 month milestones include:
climbing up a few stairs
saying Mama and Dada
clapping her hands
pulling herself up to a standing position

Pumpkin Patch & Imagination Parade

Bella's first time to the pumpkin patch was at Ardenwood Farms in Fremont.  She liked to pick up hay.

Then she tried to touch the pumpkins next to her.

K climbed to the middle of the hay tower while carrying her Elsa and Anna lunch pail.  It was her special treat for her good behavior.

K was busy at school creating her costume for the Imagination parade.  Each classroom selected a book and brought the characters alive by designing costumes and walking in the school parade.

Can you guess what book her class transformed into?

K was the piggy who made her house out of hay from the story, The Three Little Pigs.  Her friend, Zuri was the piggy who made her house out of bricks.  Teacher W was the big bad wolf.

Another class project, K worked on was planting pumpkin seeds into smaller pumpkins. They added soil and poured in some water and will watch it grow in the coming weeks.

Congrats Auntie Michelle & Uncle Will

Michelle and Uncle Will tied the knot two weeks ago.  They had the most beautiful wedding at Casa Real Winery.  Mommy was honored to be part of the special day.  Some of the details of the wedding included a Boba bar and an outdoor fire pit to roast smores!

Children were not invited to the winery, so Daddy and Mommy enjoyed a night out while Teacher N. babysat the girls.

Excuse the blurriness of the pictures, we forgot to bring a camera!  Iphone will do.

Welcome to the family, Will!

The next day Auntie Michelle and Uncle Will had a second wedding at Koi Palace.  K told Mommy, "All the girls get to wear pretty dresses to the party while the boys are handsome." K kissed Bella and gave her hugs before leaving for dinner.

Po Po is always happy to see her grand daughters.

Congratulations Auntie Michelle & Uncle Will!

The other night, K was Mommy's helper.  She scooped out the avocados, mashed them and made guacamole.  She put the guac onto chips and served them to her family.  K is not a fan of guac, but had fun making it.

Auntie Diane brought K a pair of chopsticks from her recent trip in China.  Every night at dinner, K wants to pick up her food with her new chopsticks.  She always feels the need to get dolled up and put on dresses even if she is just at home.  Daddy has such a girly girl on his hands.

K has been using her imagination at school.  When Mommy picked her up from school, she wanted to show Mommy the car she made out of wood blocks.  She invited her friends to take a ride in her car.

Books on tape is one thing the kids can select during their free time activity at school.

K has been practicing writing her name at home.  She likes to connect the dots.

New Developments

Last week, Bella's crib was lowered since she has been trying to climb out.  Shortly after she began to stand.   In this video, she has a few dance moves with her stance.

At dinner time, she will babble at the top of her lungs when she wants more food.  She gets upset when she is fed too slow.

Bella continues to love to crawl. She loves crawling in and out of the tightest spaces like the exersaucer.

In preparation for Halloween, K's school created their very own pumpkin patch.  Each child can take home a pumpkin on Halloween Day.

Stranger Danger

K's swim teacher was on vacation a few weeks ago and a male substitute filled in.  K would not step foot in the the water.  Daddy pleaded with her to go in but she was deathly terrified and would not let go of Daddy. This past weekend, K's regular teacher was out and again there was a male sub. She would not go in the pool. However, 10 minutes into the lesson, Mommy was able to convince K to go into the pool.  Teacher S tried to have K warm up to him by putting her on a float and spinning her around for fun.

She eventually let him hold her while she waited for her turn to to dive under to find the rings.

She got two stickers for her back float swim and her up faces.

Speaking of teachers, K loves Teacher R and Teacher W.

Teacher D drove K home last week when Mommy had a training and Daddy was in Iceland.  Teacher D said K talked all about her baby sister during the car ride and sang, Let It Go.

Po Po stayed over and helped take care of the girls while daddy was on a boy's trip.

We celebrated Po Po's birthday prior to Daddy's trip. Uncle Derek picked up a tres leches cake.

Daddy had fun adventures with Uncle Brian in Iceland.

He deserved some time off.  He takes good care of his 3 girls on a daily basis!

Bella has a pretty good appetite. She will watch intently and drool whenever someone is eating. She tried yogurt for the first time and her initial reaction was a sour face, then she couldn't wait to get more.

Finally to end...sisters for life!

8 Months & Lemos Farm Field Trip

Mommy is late in posting Bella's 8 month picture. This month, the sticker goes straight into the mouth.

It's not easy to get her to look into the camera.

Bella has been eating more solids and eats two times a day now. She loves her greens especially beans, avocado and broccoli.  She gets impatient when she is fed too slow and will whine until another spoonful goes in her mouth.

She is able to pick up food with her fingers. Her first time was with puffs.

Success! She immediately shoves it into her mouth.

She has developed separation anxiety. When Mommy or Daddy leaves the room for even a second, Bella will give this pouty face and cry.

On Friday, K went on a field trip to Lemos Farm.  She sat on a tractor and pulled the lever to pick up dirt.

There was a face painter at the farm. K sat very still and waited patiently as the artist drew on her face.

Here's the finished product.

She hung out with her classmates while munching on a snack.

K's first time sitting on a stage coach.

When it was time to leave, K said she wanted to pick out a pumpkin for Bella. How sweet!

What's Going On

It's been awhile since the blog has been updated. The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy.  We celebrated Ashley's 3rd birthday. It's been fun watching her grow up. K and Ashely have become best buddies.

Sadly, great grandpa passed away 2 weekends ago from leukemia. He was 92 years old. We miss him! He will be remembered as a family man. He loved family gatherings especially going out to dinner where he treated everyone to 9 course meals.

Last weekend was Uncle Dave and Auntie Betty's baby shower. They had a cute theme from the movie, Up.  Mommy didn't get a chance to snap a picture of the expectant mom and her baby bump, but here's one of the little ladies at the party.

Bella and Khloe laid next to each other to compare their length in size. Khloe is much younger, but gets her height from her parents.

K has been keeping busy at school.  Her favorite thing during outside play is the monkey bars.  She goes on it so much, she has callous on her hands, but doesn't seem to mind. She can hang on the bars for more than 30 seconds.

She also likes to balance on the colored blocks.  The objective is to move from one block to the other without falling off.

Each week, K learns a new letter of the alphabet.  She practices writing the letter on the white board and talks about what items begin with the letter.

Bella enjoys her days at daycare.  She's still the youngest one there and has fun playing with her friends.
