Weekend With Friends

The weekend started off with a barbeque at Uncle Ken and Auntie Becca's house.  The older girls sat at the table for dinner.

Daddy cut Bella's chicken, but when she saw Daddy eating the drumstick, she grabbed for it. Her uncles said she was pretty savage.

When it came to  dessert, all the kids were excited to eat ice-cream in a waffle bowl.

Daddy had only intended for Bella to have a little of his ice-cream cone.  Again she would not let it go.  Her messy face says it all.  She has a sweet tooth for ice-cream.

The younger kiddos posed for a picture.  It was successful- all the little ones stayed still for the photo.

On Sunday, K celebrated her classmate's birthday.  Zuri dressed up as Elsa.  Her mommy glued on snowflakes to her dress.

The party had an entertainer that brought  bubbles wands the kids could use.  K was intrigued by the big bubbles she could make.

Bella's top teeth are coming in now.  The pediatrician did say Bella's teeth will probably come in all at once since she was a late bloomer.

Another thing that is growing are Bella's eyelashes.  Mommy is pretty amazed and jealous how long Bella's eyelashes are.

Here's another example of how much Bella loves to eat.  She has to make sure she gets every last drop of her porridge.

K's spring picture did not include socks with her shoes!  Mommy made sure she did not wear socks to school in the morning.  Teacher W braided K's hair and she looks like a big girl!

At 14 Months...

Bella and K are both light sleepers which is not pleasant if they wake each up.  Daddy took Bella on a walk on the pier during one of K's naps.

Mommy can't believe how fast Bella is growing.  Mommy sometimes wishes Bella could stay this size and be a baby.

Bella went to the park afterwards.  She does not like swings, but loves slides.  After sliding off, she couldn't wait to get right back on.

Bella's separation anxiety grows stronger each day.  She chases Mommy when she notices Mommy has left the room and is gone.  She will run up to Mommy and hold Mommy's legs and make sure she does not leave again.

Or she will keep crying until Mommy picks her up.

Daddy lowered Bella's crib to the very bottom.  It's a good thing she can be put down awake now and can put herself asleep.

Over the weekend, the girls went to the Academy.  Daddy decided to take a family selfie.

The Academy now has a nice outdoor grassy area for children to play.  Bella soaked up some sun but squinted at the same time from the bright sunshine.

K rode on this seal statue.  K's favorite exhibit at Academy is still the rainforest. She likes seeing the butterflies.

Bella had a really bad cough with some wheezing.  She has been super cranky and tossing and turning all night from the coughing.  She went in to the doctor to listen to her lungs just to make sure she didn't have bronchitis again.  She passed and her lungs are fine.  K kept Bella occupied at the doctor office by singing her songs and giving her lots of hugs.

Easter Egg Hunts

Mommy and K had a date last weekend.  Mommy has been trying to do something special just with K every so often. The two went to the Reading Bug since K loves to read stories and had dessert afterwards.

K liked to play in the house at the bookstore.

K and Bella may not like the Easter Bunny, but they love going Easter egg hunting. Gung Gung and Po Po have a nice landscaped backyard, so the girls looked for eggs there. K was so excited and found the eggs quickly.

K left the eggs on the grass for Bella to find. Bella caught on to the concept and picked up the eggs.

Here's a video of Bella in action. She really liked shaking the eggs.

The next day, K asked if she and Bella could do another Easter egg hunt in her own backyard.  The best part is eating the surprises in the egg. They were filled with cheerios, goldfish and fruit snacks.

K made sure to share with her little sister.

The girls celebrated Uncle Richard's 30th birthday later that evening. Bella was wowed by the cake. She couldn't wait to eat it.

 Happy Birthday, Uncle Richard!

Bella's 2 bottom tooth are coming in slowly. You can see a little speck of white if you look really closely.

Sisterly Bonding

Now that Bella is older, K interacts and plays more with her.  K taught Bella how to play ring around the rosey despite not knowing the words that well.  Bella loved it and kept saying, more.  If you listen carefully, K tells Bella she loves her.  It makes Mommy so happy to see the girls getting along so well and bonding with each other.

These days, K wants to pick up Bella.  She likes to surprise Bella and come behind and pick her up.  K will even start walking while holding her sister.

K is pretty strong and can lift Bella up pretty high.

Uncle Peter and Daddy arranged for everyone to get together last weekend to meet up at the mall.
K and Courtney tried on sunglasses with their mommies.

The girls had a play date with Khloe and checked out her new home.  Khloe is 4 months younger than Bella and weighs the same as Bella.

Mason came later and brought his trains and shared with K. And yes K is wearing a crown. She is obsessed with anything princess.  Po Po bought K the crown last time they were out together.
