Hot Days Of Summer Days

The weather has been so hot lately.  Uncle Bau was nice enough to give us his pool key to his complex to use anytime.  Daddy pumped up the float that Uncle Gavin got Bella from Hawaii.

Katelyn practiced swimming to Daddy.

Daddy wanted to try out the hot tub.  The girls didn't want to go in.  They said it's too hot!  They only dipped in their feet.

The girls took their passport pictures.  Mommy plans on going to Hong Kong in 2-3 years when Bella is less crazy.  This was the best picture the photographer at Costco could get of Bella not cheesing.

Bella got her toes painted for the first time.  She saw Mommy painting Katelyn nails and said, " I want nail polish too!"

She was a happy camper afterwards.  Mommy will be sad when these toesies aren't small anymore.

Many of Katelyn's friends are leaving school and doing camps for the summer or on vacation and then off to Kindergarten for all of them.  She will miss her besties!

Bella will definitely miss her jei jei going to the same school.  They hold hands walking from the parking lot to their different classrooms.

The girls celebrated Gung Gung's birthday last week.  Excuse the blurry picture.

Katelyn loves to draw.  When she gets home from school, she goes straight to her markers to draw.  Here is her mermaid picture.  When Katelyn is asleep, Mommy "accidentally recycles her drawings since there are so many around the house.  Katelyn remembers every drawing she made and asks for it the next day.  Mommy now puts them all in a folder.

Bella is taking an interest in drawing like her big sister.  She likes to make faces.  She draws eyes and a mouth.

Weekend Fun And School Days

The girls walked around Fisherman Wharf and met Auntie Suzy, Uncle Wil, Christian and Josh for dinner at Bubba Gump's.

There was a merry-go-round and of course the girls asked to ride it.  It was the first time seeing a carousel that had two levels. Bella rode downstairs with Daddy.

Josh and Christian stayed upstairs with Katelyn.

Aiden had his birthday party at a jumpy house.  The kids got tokens to play games of their choice.  Katelyn and Aiden battled it out on air hockey.

Bella was proud to show off all the tickets she won.

The girls took a walk around the water in Foster City.  They found some tiny seashells to throw in the water.

Katelyn has been expressing interest to learn how to ride a bike with no training wheels.  She finally tried out the balance bike Po Po and Gung Gung got her for birthday.  She loved going on it so much, she asked to ride again the next day.

Teacher Marisol is really good at giving the girls' different hairstyles.  Bella usually has a new hairdo when Mommy picks her up from school.  Teacher Marisol texted Mommy these pictures.  Bella never stays still when Mommy tries to braid her hair. Teacher Marisol says Bella stays perfectly still for her. Go figure!

Bella always chooses to play with dolls during free choice.  Her friends and her like to play family.  Bella is the baby and her friends are her mom.  She loves all the attention they give her and how they take care of her.

She does a good job brushing her own teeth after lunch at school.  At home, she takes forever to brush her teeth and Mommy has to help her.  Again go figure!  She's a different person at school.

During fitness class this month, she is learning how to play hockey.  Coach Sam helps her with her swing.

She and her friends practice hitting the ball.

Katelyn loves swinging on bars.  She started from the bottom of these poles and worked her way up.

Black Tie Wedding & Anniversary Dinner

Last weekend, Daddy's high school friend, Son, got married.  The wedding was at Bently Reserve.  It was a super fancy wedding.  The attire was black tie.  The guys rented tuxes and the girls rented ballroom gowns.

The following day was Mommy and Daddy's 6th anniversary.  Po Po and Gung Gung offered to watch the girls again.  Mommy and Daddy got another night out and went out to dinner.  We are so fortunate to have such great parents to help us!

Ethan took Bella for a little bike ride around the neighborhood.  Bella got a little scared when Ethan rode too fast.

Katelyn had a turn next.  She liked going fast.

Katelyn celebrated Reesa's birthday at Pump it Up.   Katelyn is quite active at birthday parties.  She is always so sweaty.  She had to roll up her pants since she complained of being too hot.

Bella got invited to the party too.  She got a glow stick to help her find her way through the inflatables.

Reesa's party was close to Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous ice-cream. Katelyn wanted chocolate ice-cream, but it was not on the menu.  Daddy ordered her sweet cream flavor and got spoiled with chocolate sauce as a topping.

Bella is such a big girl these days.  One morning, Mommy was busy in the kitchen.  The next thing, Bella called Mommy and said, "I'm dressed!"  She changed out of her pajamas and found some clothes that were on the couch and put them on herself!

Katelyn and Bella continue to take walks and play outside after school.  They like hanging on the bars.

They have a lot of fun with the Plasma car.  Here's a picture before they took off.

Katelyn likes being the driver and taking her sister around.

Happy 4th!

The girls had a busy July 4th weekend.  Auntie Gabby and Uncle Derek took Katelyn on a special treat to watch Finding Dory.  She had a great time!

The girls celebrated Auntie Caroline and grandma's birthday later that evening at a Thai restaurant.  The kids were amazed how many candle decorations were lit up on the cake.

The cousins finished dinner early and took a walk outside.  Katelyn and Aiden posed with one leg crossed and Bella tried to do the same thing.

Auntie Ali invited the girls to a water park.  They had fun playing in the pool with Natalie and Courtney.  These four really love the water!

The girls enjoyed watermelon and chips after swimming.  Thanks for the snacks, Auntie Ali and taking this picture!

Since Mason lives nearby, the girls went to visit him afterwards and stayed for dinner.

The next day the girls had a picnic at the park.  They packed up the tent and brought sandwiches and fruit for lunch.

Daddy got a work out and pushed both girls at the same time on the swings.

Adam and the sisters went to a nearby park to watch the fireworks.  They brought chairs to sit in while they waited.

As the the sun was setting, the weather got colder, so the kids bundled up with their blankets and beanies.

It was a clear night and the kids got a really good view of the fireworks.  It's a good spot to come back to next year!

Birthday Celebrations

Due to the warm weather, the girls have been playing in the backyard with water toys and water balloons.

These two are so silly and have so much fun spending time together.

Katelyn has been more attached to Daddy lately which is nice since Bella only wants Mommy all the time.

Katelyn attended Darla's mermaid themed birthday party.

Darla's backyard had a stage. The kids formed their own band.  Darla was the lead singer and Katelyn and Nathaniel were the guitarists.

Katelyn played the tambourine next.

Bella and Daddy split up and celebrated Khloe's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese.  Bella liked playing the game where she hit the frogs that popped out.

She hung out with Mason during lunch.

Katelyn's favorite thing to do in the school yard is to go across the monkey bars.  She goes so often she started getting calluses.  She didn't seem to mind at all.
