It's been pretty busy with work and activities and less time to update the blog. Let's catch up now. Katelyn's Daisy scout troop created boxes to recycle markers that were
low in ink. Once the boxes are filled, the troop leader will bring the
markers to have them refilled with new ink. This way the old markers not wasted.
The girls were excited each day to find a Tsum Tsum in their advent calendar.
The line for Santa was much shorter than the previous year. Santa asked them what they would like for Christmas. Bella replied a pink teddy bear. Katelyn said she didn't know, so Santa told her to mail him a letter when she can think of something.
Mommy purchased the cheapest picture option which did not include a digital download. Instead here's a snap of the picture from her computer.
Katelyn had holiday break a few days before Christmas. Daddy and Mommy took a couple days off to spend some quality time with their eldest. Daddy had always wanted to try the brunch place, Mama's On Washington Square. It was an hour and half wait. Katelyn enjoyed their famous pancakes.
Afterwards she got a special treat of a manicure wither her good friend, Alana. They both picked similar colors.
Bella wanted to help stick labels on the presents and even write her name.
Speaking of writing her name, she has been practicing writing her full name. She still needs help spelling out her last name.
She's always greeted in the morning by her friends when she arrives at school. Bella didn't get the memo to dress up like princesses.
Auntie Lilian had the girls over for a gift exchange. Kalina was happy to have a tea party with the girls since she lives in a household with two older brothers.
Auntie Ali and Uncle Pete also hosted a gift exchange. Here's the kids before they opened their gift from their Secret Santa.
Bella loved the smelly markers from Kenzie. It came in a case which she loves to carry around the house.
Auntie Mai invited us to the ice skating rink. Bella held on to the skate buddy or adult.
Katelyn and Adam tried skating without holding onto anything this year.
Auntie Caroline had the girls over to celebrate Christmas. She taught them how to make origami animals. The girls changed into their PJs before heading home.
Christmas Eve was at Po Po's house. The annual family picture on the stairs missing a few families who were traveling.
The girls received first generation dolls. Bella got a Hawaiian outfit from Auntie Suzy.
Katelyn got an outfit for her doll as well.
These three love their dolls so much!!
The girls surprised Mommy with homemade gifts. She got a hand print for each month of the year and ornaments to hang on the tree.

No Stage Fright, Here!
Bella was in her first ballet performance in early December. To prepare, the students had a technical performance and a dress rehearsal. Her teacher said she could wear make up on stage. Bella was so excited to wear lipstick.
At the technical performance, the students practiced on the stage of the theater where they will be performing at. Parents were allowed to video tape since at the actual performance no cameras or video taping were allowed. This video is filmed from a distance since parents sat in the back. Bella is the third girl from the left of the teacher.
On the day of the performance, the parents dropped off the students backstage. Parents were not allowed to stay with the little ballerinas. There were volunteers who helped the girls get dressed. One of the moms text Mommy this picture.
The Christmas dolls with Ms. Julie before they got on stage.
During intermission, Bella changed back into her typical ballet attire and sat with her family and watched the rest of the show. A few of Bella's relatives came to watch her perform including Auntie Suzy.
Bella took a picture on the red carpet before going home. Thanks for the flowers, Auntie Suzy!
Katelyn also had a performance, the Gingerbread Man play. The three kindergarten classes were excited to perform.
