Business Trip & Mason's 3rd B-day

It's been awhile since Mommy updated the blog.  She has been busy with work and the girls have been sick.  Mommy went to San Diego 2 weeks go on a business trip.  It was the first time being away from Bella.  Thank goodness for technology, Mommy face timed with K before she went to bed.

In the morning, K wanted to face time again and Bella got in on the action too.

Mommy was so happy to meet Milie for the first time. Auntie Jill drove to Mommy's hotel and the 3 had breakfast together.

Millie was really well behaved and smiled constantly.

Mason celebrated his 3rd birthday a couple weekends ago and had a fancy Thomas the Train cake.

Bella hung out with the girls her age.

Bella spent some time with her auntie and uncles too.

K is getting pretty good at writing her own name.  She likes drawing pictures of her family too.

Her favorite family member these days seems to be her little sister. It's so cute to see how affectionate these two are with each other.  Bella's face lights up in the morning when she sees K.  She will rest her head on K's lap as a sign of love.  K will shower Bella with kisses.

Bella is doing better with her balance. She can stand for long periods of time.

She is fearless with this new found freedom of walking.  She is ready to conquer the world!

Baby On The Go

Bella is gradually taking more steps each day.  She still walks like she is a little tipsy, but it's rather cute!  Mommy was hoping Bella would take her time walking, but no such luck!  It's all over now that she is mobile.

Here's some more footage of Bella walking.  This time she walked to her big sister.  K tried to lure Bella by waving her Elsa doll.

K is another active one.  She is progressing in her swimming lessons.  She has been practicing her rollovers from front to back.

First Steps

Bella has been taking a few steps here and there.  Take a peak at the short video clip.  K is protective of her little sister.  She stopped what she was doing to help Bella out.  Bella seems happy with her new skill.

Little Miss Piggy

There's hardly a time you don't see Bella drooling when someone is eating or crawling over to the person eating and trying to grab their food.  This girl loves to eat!!  She is usually the last one to finish during meals.  Often times Daddy has to cut her off.  She is the opposite of her sister who is picky and Mommy has to constantly encourage K to eat more.  Bella will gladly put any type of food in her mouth! Here's a video of a typical dinner with Bella. If you listen closely, she says, "MMM!"

Last weekend the girls went to the Academy of Science.  The first stop was the rainforest.

Bella was intrigued by the butterflies.  Her eyes would follow them where ever they flew.

Bella outgrew her infant seat and transitioned to a convertible seat. Mommy hopes Bella will cry less in her new chair.

K was proud she is bigger now and can sit in a big girl seat.

Now that Bella switched car seats, K told Mommy, "I can reach Bella now and hold her hand!"  You may not be able to tell in this picture, but K grabbed her sister's hand right away and gave her a big smile.

K likes to help out with Bella.  She will bring a diaper when it's time to change her.  She often asks to brush Bella's hair.  This is only the beginning.  Wait until the girls put make-up on and play dress up.

Second Half of Holiday Adventures

Zuri invited K for a play date at La Petite Playhouse. The facility is new and clean.  The girls must have missed each other since they haven't seen each other at school for over a week.

Po Po and Gung Gung offered to watch the girls while Daddy and Mommy picked an evening to go out on a date. Aren't they the best grandparents ever?

Mommy and Daddy dined at Mua and tried lamb cheeks for the first time.  It turned out to be really tender.  The bone marrow was tasty too.

K has a pretty good memory.  A story can be read to her 3 times and she can remember most of the words. Check out her video of reading a princess book.

K went to La Petite Playhouse for the second time to celebrate Leah's third birthday.

This time she played soccer with Daddy.

She wanted Mommy to go down the tall slide with her since it was a little fast, so she sat with Mommy.

Daddy convinced K to go solo the next turn.  She said okay if he held her hand.  Afterwards, she was still a little scared and wanted Mommy to go down with her.

Over the holiday break, Bella took a few steps without holding on to anything.  Hopefully Mommy can have her camera handy next time.  Mommy and Daddy was fortunate to have paid time off to spend with the girls and wishes everyone has a Happy New Year!

First Half Of Holiday Break Adventures

Bella and K were off from school and daycare for almost two weeks for Christmas break.  They kept busy with play dates and activities.  It started with a gift exchange and dinner at Auntie Lilian and Uncle Dan's house.  The kids outnumbered the adults.

K still loves Happy Hallow.  Her favorite attraction was the puppet show.  This time the performance was called "The Three Wishes."  Aiden, on the other hand liked riding the wooden horse and seeing the animals.

The girls went to Embarcadero for lunch with Po-Po and Uncle Derek at Crystal Jade.  Following lunch was ice-skating.  K was so excited to try it for the first time.

Good thing Bella was all bundled up since it was so cold out!  She usually doesn't like wearing hats, but the freezing temperature didn't make her want to take it off.

K was pretty wobbly when she first set foot on the ice, but she still had a smile on her face.

She held on tight to Daddy to gain her balance. This was her first lap around the rink.

K improved on her second lap and was much more steady. When she was done skating, she asked when can she go again!

Bella and Mommy watched on the side lines.

The girls celebrated Uncle Ken's belated birthday.  Allison and Aiden came too.  When everyone was finished with dinner, Bella was still eating.

Uncle Larry and his parents are always so generous to treat everyone to dinner. The kids can't get enough of the chicken and corn soup.

Each year in San Carlos, the neighborhood extravagantly decorates their houses. Mommy wonders how much the electricity bill is.  The home owners welcome photographers on their property. This house had a fake life size Santa for people to take pictures with.  K was grumpy since she was freezing and wanted to go home.
