Baptism, Birthdays and Dinner!

On Friday, K went to Darla's birthday at the gym.  These two are besties from school.

K was focused when she walked across the balancing beam.

Saturday morning, the girls went to Kalina's baptism.  She was such a good baby when the holy water was poured over her head.  She did not cry at all.

Back at Kalina's house, Uncle Dan said K is his second daughter.

Here's the guest of honor. She is such a happy baby!  Auntie Lilian said she is relatively easy baby and always smiling!

Later that afternoon, the girls headed to Khloe's first party at Gymboree.  The three kiddos were in awe as bubbles were blown towards them as they sat on the parachute.

Khloe had a 3 tiered cake!

This week at swim class, Bella didn't cry!  Mommy and Daddy were quite surprised and was expecting full on tears.  Looks like third time is a charm.   It really helped that Daddy and Mommy sang the songs from class at home for her to get familiar with.

She even participated in the activities like doing her sit jumps.

Best of all, she would go to Teacher G and let her hold her.

Mommy and the girls took Daddy to a belated Father's day dinner at The Refuge.  One of Daddy's favorite things to eat are hamburgers.  Refuge is featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.  The restaurant is known for their hamburgers topped with pastrami.   The burger got Daddy's stamp of approval.

Father Day Weekend Festivities

K is a helpful big sister.  She likes to put on Bella's socks and shoes when it's time to go out.

K's school invited all the dads to join in a baking project.  Daddy and K made sugar cookies.  K got to stir in the flour, then use the cookie cutters to make the shapes.

She chose hearts.  She said because she loves Daddy.  When K got home, Mommy baked the cookies and she got to eat them for desserts.

Saturday was Genentech's annual concert for the employees at AT&T Park.  This year the view level was dedicated for children activities.  It had games, magic show, face painting, inflatables and much more.  K shot hoops.

She also went surfing with Uncle Dan's help.

K ran into a couple of her classmates like Mia.

Uncle Dan is really good with the kids.  James took full advantage of the free food at the concert.  Auntie Lilian said in this picture, he was too busy looking at what food he was going to eat next.

The first act at the concert was Jason Derulo.  The second act was Imagine Dragons.  For the last act, Mommy and Auntie Lilian wanted to be on field, next to the stage.  K had a fun time dancing on the field.

Take a look at the last performer.  K calls her, "The California girl!"

While K was at the concert, Bella hung out with Gung Gung and Po Po at home since she needed a nap and was too little for the activities.  Bella took a walk around the neighborhood with Gung Gung.

Father's day morning, K and Bella had swim lessons.  Bella is still not a fan yet.  Once she got in the water, she motioned for Daddy to get her out.   She especially does not like having to go to her teacher.

Aiden's birthday happened to be on Father's Day this year.  He turned 4 and the girls celebrated with lunch and cake.

The girls went to Po Po and Gung Gung's house afterwards and smiled big for a pic with Gung Gung.

Thank you for Daddy for taking such good care of us.  You always put the family above your own needs.  We are so lucky to have you in our life.  Thanks for putting up with your 3 high maintenance girls!

Busy, Busy Weekend!

Weekends usually consist of kid birthday parties.  This weekend was no different, but add on top of that a Red Egg Ginger party and Grandma's birthday.  Saturday, Charlie celebrated her 2nd birthday.  Auntie Lauren designed all the Hawaiian theme decorations and favors.

Even though K does not see Tristan often, she chased him around the playground.  At Charlie's birthday, they swung on the tire together and played a made up game called princess and pirates.

Bella liked sitting on the spinning chairs.  Auntie Alice was nice enough to spin her and Emi around.

After the party, the girls napped in the car and headed to the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo.  It was their first time.  The zoo was quite small, but they enjoyed playing with some of the exhibits in the museum.   Bella especially liked the exhibit where she put balls into the tube.

It was a really warm day, so the girls walked around Stanford mall afterwards.  Bella and K are becoming really close.  Bella calls K, "jeh-jeh" which is older sister in Cantonese.  You can catch Bella saying this to K all day long.  Outdoors they held hands while walking.  Bella didn't want to hold Mommy's hand, only jeh jeh's hand.

The girls are so sweet together!

On Sunday, Mommy and Daddy split up to attend different parties which happened to be at the same time.  Mommy and K went to Greysen's party.  Bella was really upset when K and Mommy left for the party.  Daddy said she was livid and would not stop crying!  Poor Daddy!

Daddy and Bella attended Devin's Red Egg Ginger Party.  Daddy said Devin slept most of the time he was there and couldn't get a picture of him.   Bella ate tons of watermelon at the buffet.

Grandma, Aiden, Auntie Caroline and Uncle Vu came over for dinner that night to celebrate Grandma and Auntie Caroline's birthday.

Aiden and K rode bikes before dinner.

K got this cool ride for her birthday.  Mommy and Bella decided to take it for a spin.  Bella loved going down the driveway.

Bella is becoming more daring these days.  She can climb up onto the chair and stand.  Mommy snapped a pic while she was in mid motion about to stand.

What an exhausting, but fun weekend!  What's in store for this weekend?

Girl's Weekend!

Daddy was away for a boy's weekend with his college friends, so Mommy and the girls had their own girl's weekend.   Mommy had an appointment to take K to the nail salon since she always asks to paint her nails.  Bella stayed home with Po Po.  Mommy did some research and found a kid friendly and clean salon.

K sat very still while the lady painted her toes and fingers.  The lady told K she was a lucky girl since she did not get to have her nails done until she was 18.

She showed off her nails proudly and even waited patiently while Mommy got a pedicure.

She got to dry her nails under the drying machine.  K absolutely loved getting her nails done!  She assumed she will come back and already told Mommy she will pick purple for the color.

After lunch, the girls went to Kennedy Park to ride the train.

We are grateful Po Po spent the weekend with us.

Mommy bought K some food to feed the goats, but they were pretty aggressive and would jump on people.  K threw the food on the floor and said, let's go!  K would much rather ride the merry-go round.  Bella would not sit on the horse and took a seat on the bench with Po Po.

Afterwards the girls visited Gung Gung and Tao Po.  K and Ashley hung out and looked at princess stories.

The next day, Daddy was already home by the time K finished swimming lessons.   Daddy drove to a Duck Pond in Palo Alto, but it was mostly surrounded by seagulls that were circling around looking for food.  The girls did see about 4 ducks compared to 40 seagulls!

Bella's bedtime routine includes her big sister reading her stories.  K will read 3 books to Bella every night.  She has the books memorized.

The weather has been really nice.  Bella loves to sit on the porch.  She is a people watcher and likes to see what the neighbors are up to when they are outside.

She also loves baby dolls as much as her sister.  She will feed the baby a bottle.  She will also rock the baby and say sshh trying to put the baby to sleep.

So Much To Celebrate!

Friday Mommy picked up K early to go to Christian's 8th grade graduation last Friday.  Before the ceremony started, K chatted with Auntie Suzy.

She also made her way over to Josh.  Josh is such a good sport, he lets all the kids climb on him and mess with him.  K loves being around him.

Ayumi and K hit it off and shared some cherries for a snack.

We are so proud of Christian!  We can't believe he's going to high school already.  Where did the time go?

Saturday was James' superhero party.  Can you tell how much he loves Superman by the way he is dressed?  Hes' telling everyone he is now 4 years old.  This guy is an eater according to Uncle Dan.  He weighs 40 pounds! That's 10 more than K and they are a month apart.

After the party, the girls went to Po Po and Gung Gung's house.  Auntie Stef and Uncle Jason stopped by for a visit.  K pretended to be a waiter and wrote down what people wanted to order.  This is the list of what her restaurant serves.

On Sunday was another Pump It Up party.  This time to celebrate Kyle and Emma's birthday. The cake was half Thomas and half Frozen themed.

K always has a fun time going down the slides.

At home, the girls have fun playing inside their tent.  Bella likes going in and out of it.  K will bring blankets to sleep inside.
