Hot Summer Days

Bella no longer wants to sit on a booster.  She said, I'm a big girl now and I don't need it.

Last weekend, the girls had lunch with Aiden and Ava.  Ava is getting bigger and is able to sit up now.

After lunch, the girls headed to the San Ramon aquatic pool.  Bella felt fearless with her life vest.

Katelyn loved going down the water slide and going into the mushroom looking water spout.

Daddy attempted to take a family selfie, but it was pretty bright and this was the best picture he could take.

Water play continued after the pool at Uncle Ken and Auntie Becca's house.  They set up the water table and the kids sprayed Daddy with water guns.

Bella's ballet school requires her hair to be in a bun each class.  Bella has very fine hair.  Mommy purchased a bun net and it has helped out tremendously along with tons of bobby pins.

Katelyn had her last gymnastics class with Teacher Allison since she has graduated from girl's intro. She hopes to have Teacher Allison again in the future.

How The Weekend Goes....

Daddy drove the girls to Half Moon Bay beach a couple weeks ago.  This picture was taken right before the girls put back on their pants and tops.  It was pretty windy and cold at the beach.

After the beach, the girls went to Uncle Bau's pool.  It was much warmer there.

Ashley and the girls went fruit picking in Brentwood.  Cherries and strawberries were out of season.  They picked peaches, nectarines and plums instead.  Bella wanted to show off the peach she picked.

It's okay to try before you buy, right? How would you know if it's sweet or not?

Bella's new favorite vegetable is spinach.  Mommy told her she will have strong muscles if she eats a lot of spinach.  Bella wanted to show how big her muscles are right now.

At swim class, Katelyn learned how to save someone if they ever needed to be pulled back to shore using a lifesaver.

This week Katelyn had summer camp at Genenetech. It was like old times with the 4 of us commuting into work and school together.  The theme for summer camp was cinematography.  The students created a film by the end of the week.

Bella was so excited her big sister was at the same school.  She wanted to introduce her to all her friends and was equally excited to see Katelyn's old friends from her preschool at summer camp. Bella was so happy she hung on to Katelyn's arm the whole time during drop off.

The girls met up with Mason and Sam for dinner.  For dessert, they had frozen yogurt.  The kids were eager to see what flavors and toppings were offered.

July 4th Weekend

Happy Hollow never gets old.  The girls had a play date with their girl friends along with Mason and Adam.

Courtney and Katelyn are big fans of the roller coaster.  They are now old enough to ride without an adult.  Don't be fooled by their expressions on their face.  They were not scared at all and went on the ride 5 times.

The girls went to the Alameda County Fair.  Their first stop was corn dogs for lunch.

Bella was still hungry and wanted a bite of Mommy's turkey leg.

The next stop was visiting the small animals and petting this bunny.

Katelyn wanted to bring home this bunny.  She liked the brown spot on his face.  She agreed to wait until she got a little older to own a bunny.

The girls played darts and each won a prize.  Katelyn picked a fidget spinner and Bella got a zebra.

Uncle Pete and Auntie Ali invited us over for a bbq.  The older kids went on a bike ride while the younger ones stayed home to play.

Nata and Bella got a head start on water balloons and had a whole tub of balloons all to themselves.

Once the big kids got home from bike riding, they joined in on the fun.

Adam and the girls watched fireworks later that evening.  They set up their lawn chairs and got comfy with blankets while waiting for the fireworks to begin.  Happy 4th!

Summertime Fun

Bella has been playing soccer in the backyard.  She apparently was pretty proud of herself for hitting the goal and gave herself some praise.

The summer days have been so hot, the girls are enjoying a lot of ice-cream.  Daddy took us to Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous.

Now that school's been out, Katelyn is going to different summer camps.  She participated in a Spanish language arts and crafts for two weeks and just completed Spanish cooking camp.  At the end of the cooking camp, all the students received a cookbook.  Katelyn and her friends were featured in a few pages of the cook book.

Katelyn has been doing great with her landings, bars and tuck rolls in gymnastics and has graduated from the intro class and will be moving to Girls 1.

Bella loves puzzles, but what she loves more is getting fancy with her accessories.  She comes home from school and has to put on a head band, ring, necklace and bracelet!

First Ballet Class

The girls celebrated Uncle James' birthday with a delicious fruit tart.  The girls wanted seconds.

Ethan read Bella a story after cake.

Bella loves to twirl and dance at home, so Mommy figured she might enjoy ballet and signed her up for a trial class. Bella was really clingy at the beginning.  Mommy had to sit in the circle with her while the class did stretches.

After 10 minutes into the class, Mommy moved away from the circle and Bella was more comfortable on her own.  She did more stretching.

She was able to follow the teacher's instructions.

Some steps were harder for her to follow along.

After class, Bella told Mommy she wanted to come back next time.

Mommy took Bella later in the week to get fitted for ballet shoes.

Katelyn requested Mommy take a selfie with her.  She wanted to print out the picture and hang it on her wall.

During morning drop offs, Mommy sits with Bella for a few minutes when she has breakfast.  Bella's friends like to chat with Mommy.   They wave to Mommy when it's time for Mommy to leave.

Gives Back Concert

This year, Auntie Gabby and Uncle Derek came to the Genentech's Gives Back concert.  Katelyn loves spending time with them!  The performers were Weezers and Aloe Blaac.

The main performer was Kelly Clarkson.  The girls headed to the field of AT&T park to watch her sing.   It was extremely hot and bright.

Bella danced on Daddy's shoulders.

Mommy and Daddy can now say they took a picture with Kelly Clarkson, well at least she was in the background.

Auntie Andrea joined us at the concert.  She takes such good care of the girls and took selfies with them.  Auntie Andrea invited the girls to her house for ice-cream after the concert since all the stands at the park were out of ice cream.

Daddy loves his girls!  After ice-cream, the girls took him to an early Father's dinner.

The girls celebrated Father's Day with Daddy's family the next day and with Gong Gong for dinner.

Kenzie celebrated her second birthday.  She's growing up so fast.

There was a jumpy house in the backyard. Court, Bella and Katelyn nearly destroyed it with their craziness.  They were way more active than any the boys at the party.

Bella earned a sticker for her up faces and Katelyn got one the same day for her freestyle.
